Yeronga State School Roll of Honour
Description
Honour board for the Yeronga State School Roll of Honour, listing students who enlisted in the First World War. The board was unveiled on 4 May 1918, along with the opening of a new wing at the school, by the Governor, Major Sir Hamilton John Goold-Adams, GCMG, CB. There were 103 names on the roll when it was unveiled and 108 in this image. Many surnames are repeated, indicating multiple members of families enlisted. The board also contains the names of two nurses: Madeleine Wilson and Marjorie Jane Gilmour Wilson
