Description

A man's face and shoulders. A blindfold with the design of the United States flag covers almost his whole face - blinded and silenced. This work is commenting on the influence of the United States on Australia's decision to participate in the Vietnam War, particularly to continue after the casualties that occurred during the first years of this conflict. The nature of the object used to convey this message, namely a blindfold, indicates that this artist has chosen to express the perils and danger associated with this relationship.
