Description

Photo album related to the service of NX54373 Private (Pte) George Alexander "Mick/Alec/Geo" Guthrie Siebert. Album includes a variety of photographs and paper ephemera, from between 1940-1946. Hard board covered album contains 46pages, 248 black and white images, and 6 paper based pieces of ephemera. Loose in the front of the album is a hand coloured drawing with "Remembering Jungle Days, May The Never Return", an unidentified signature, and "Changi" 1941. Photographs are all captioned, detailing Pte Sieberts travels and the local life in the locations visited.

Photographs topics include: Group photos of the 2/18th Battalion, Ingleburn camp, Bathurst camp, Point Dickson, Seremban, Kuala Lumpur, Malacca, Kedah, Singapore, tourism visits, games of 2-up, a number of named locals from locations visited, community/economic activities in Mayalasia and Singapore.
