The interview covers topics related to their experiences as young people living through the Second World War. Corporal Joan Felstead talks about her service with the 58th Anti-aircraft Search Light Battery; the Italian POW camp at Bacchus Marsh, Perth's readiness for evacuation; Rottnest Island; the cliffs at Claremont; and Nan Aldritt's book Candles in the Sky. Bombardier Milton 'Jack' Felstead talks about his service in "Z" Special Unit; Operation Semut III in Borneo; Timor and Operation Sundog; his hobby of woodworking and his retirement.
