Damaged Mustang aircraft flown by Squadron Leader Douglas Sampson DFC. While flying in England, New Zealand pilot Flying Officer William 'Wendy' Wendelken collided with Sampson's aircraft. Both pilots were unharmed and returned to flying duties.
