Description
AJRP Sub-Series name: Post-surrender Rabaul material received from HQ 8 Military District. This item is a memorandum regarding provisions reserved at Japanese camps in Rabaul. An attached list provides information on the total provisions reserved at each camp and the volume per person. Commodities mentioned include rice, dried biscuits, canned beefm pickles, dried vegetables, fermented bean paste, soy sauce, salt and sugar. It appears that the Australian forces instructed the South East Area Army to submit a monthly report to the Australian supply depot.
