This item is a plan for agricultural production at Japanese camps in Rabaul. Matters discussed include purposes of agricultural production at camps, size of production unit, area of cultivated land and maintenance of existing crops, production of staple food, seasonings and livestock, use and maintenance of farming equipment, etc. An attached table specifies the volume of main crops required per person, estimated yield per tan and per acre, the size of cultivated land required per person, the period required for harvesting each main crop and the cultivated land required for self-sufficiency (per person and per camp).
