Cathedrale D'Abbeville
Description
Cathedrale D'Abbeville, also known as Église Saint-Vulfran d'Abbeville or Saint Vulfran Cathedral in Abbeville, Somme. During the First World War, Abbeville was the site of an Allied medical base that serviced casualties of the Somme battlefields. During the Second World War, Saint Vulfran Cathedral sustained heavy damage from bombing and was nearly destroyed.
Belle smith, who served as a nurse during the First World War, brought this print back to Australia from France.
