Description
Studio portrait of two Australian servicemen sent to Martha Vera Knight (cousin of Benalla, Victoria) from Hugh Knight (2595 Private Hugh Menoak [Menoah] Knight, 7th Battalion, of Cobram, Victoria). Hugh is standing on the left, the soldier seated is unidentified.
Annotation on reverse reads; '2.10.1915 Dear Martha, Just a card to let you see that I am getting quite fat. We were warned to be ready for the front so by the time you get this we hope to be well at work. I have been doing well here I was tucked off to help the C.M.S with the food. I will close now hoping this finds you all well so. Your loving cousin, Hugh Knight.'
