Portrait of 409943 Pilot Officer (later Flying Office [FO]) Neil James Rankin of Colac, Vic, RAAF, based at No. 80 Tempest Squadron RAF. FO Rankin was killed on 30 March 1945 while on operations over Germany with 80 Sqd. He is buried in the Rheinberg War Cemetery, 85 kms north of Cologne.
