Description
Collection relating to the Second World War service of VX91627 Private Kevin Gregory Hanger, Ammunition Company, Australian Army Ordnance Corps, Australia, 1943.
Collection consists of one notebook compiled by Private Hanger during his training with the Ammunition Company in early 1943. The notebook includes handwritten notes on ammunition, high explosives, cartridges, charges, primers, shells, chemical storage, and procedures, as well as coloured diagrams of different types of ammunition. It also contains several loose documents, including course notes, ammunition issue vouchers, and an ammunition quiz.
Private Hanger transferred to the Royal Australian Air Force on 13 September 1943 and went on to become a pilot.
