Portrait of Private George Morrison Mabin
Description
Studio portrait of 3873 Private (Pte) George Morrison Mabin, 4th Australian Pioneer Battalion. A jeweller from Charters Towers, Queensland, he embarked on SS Hororata from Sydney on 14 June 1917, returning to Australia in 1919. Pte Mabin later volunteered for the Second World War, serving with the 1st Battalion Volunteer Defence Corps in Queensland.
