Description
Collection relating to the Second World War service of 426251 Flying Officer Alexander Jeffrey Clarson DFC, No. 186 Squadron, Australia and United Kingdom, 1942-1982.
Collection consists of a RAAF Flying Log Book, with F/O Clarson records of flying aircraft including Stirlings, Tiger Moths, Wirraways, Link Trainers, Wellingtons, Oxfords, Dakotas, and Lancasters. Also included in the collection are newspaper clippings relating to F/O Clarson being awarded a Distinguished Flying Cross [DFC], three obituaries and one article about his retirement as an Ansett pilot. There are also two certificates of service.
