Sergeant (Sgt) Shane Wakley, B Squadron, the 3rd/4th Cavalry Regiment, which provided armoured support and transportation for the 1st Battalion The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR). Sgt Wakley of the 1st Battalion, in the turret of an Australian M113A1 Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) during a street patrol. He is serving with the Australian contingent to the Unified Task Force in Somalia (UNITAF).
