Description
A handrawn map on tracing paper with ink signed JM and dated 26/3/1917, covering an area in Messines, including the Douve River. Scale not given. Map features coloured lines in red, black and blue ink representing roads, trenches and rivers, and coloured sections in yellow and green. There are also some buildings. Annotations include '66', '155', '3DRL2316[50/66]', 'Ash Avenue', 'Thatched cottage', 'Reserve Brigade' and 'Ultimo Switch'. Possible plan of attack highlighted in purple pencil.
