Description
Somalia. 1993-03-15. Members of `D' Company, 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), serving with the Australian contingent to the Unified Task Force in Somalia (UNITAF), erecting a barrier of razor wire as a crowd control measure prior to the distribution of grain to starving Somalis. Note the Steyr rifles carried by a sling for ready access.
