Somalia. 1993-03-21. Lance Corporal Pavlic, `D' Company, 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), serving with the Australian contingent to the Unified Task Force in Somalia (UNITAF), assists with the distribution of grain to starving Somalis. He is marking with a pen the arm of a Somali woman dressed in bright pink, authorising her to receive grain.
