1914! Bravoure Allemande
Description
French propaganda print No. 2 in the series '1914!' featuring illustrations by Maurice Neumont. Titled 'German Bravery' it depicts an oafish German soldier in a destroyed town of Magny (Hte-Alsace). There is a dead boy laying behind him, who he has shot, despite the boy only being armed with a toy gun. In the background another group of German soldiers is burning a village. It is dedicated to the cartoonist Zislin who was known for depicting the Region of Alsace as a victim of German brutality.
