Kent, England. 1945-01-03. The Honourable Mr A. S. Drakeford, the Australian Minister for Air, speaking to officers and airmen of No. 451 (Spitfire) Squadron RAAF, RAF Station Hawkinge, he visited during his stay in the UK. This squadron served for nearly four years in Egypt, Libya, Syria, Palestine, Cyprus, Corsica, Italy and Southern France before coming to England. Shown: Air Marshal R.
