Description
A red and blue map on linen titled 'Map of Gallipoli' covering the area around Erenkeui Bay. Scale 1:40,000, sheet 1, Survey Dept, Egypt and War Office. Map features roads, trenches, populated places, rivers, and vegetation. Annotations include '41', '68', 'Halil Eli', 'De Tott's Battery (ruined) S.M. Observing Station (disused)', 'Krithia', 'Fountaino', 'Ruins of Sestos', 'Search Light', and 'Look out Station'. There is a purple stamp on the reverse that reads 'Gallipoli 1 1:40,000'.
