Description
A blue and red map on linen titled 'Map of Gallipoli' covering the area around the Gallipoli Strait. Scale 1:40,000, sheet 3, Survey Dept, Egypt and War Office. Map features roads, trenches, populated places, rivers and vegetation. Annotations include '71', '44', 'Bergaz', 'Kuko Dagh', 'Bair Keui', 'Mills', 'Fort Sultan', 'Map Tepe', 'Bakla Liman', 'Stone Bridge', and 'Moussa Bank'. On the reverse there is a purple stamp that reads 'Gallipoli 3 1:40,000', and the handwritten note 'Copy No 1'.
