Markeboy, Somalia. 1993-03-19. A member of `D' Company, 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), on foot patrol in a rural area. He is serving with the Australian contingent to the Unified Task Force in Somalia (UNITAF). The Somali villagers in the foreground, including an emaciated youth clothed in yellow, show no interest.
