Baidoa, Somalia. 28 March 1993. Two members of 'D' Company, 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), during a night patrol. They are, 239195 Private (Pte) Hilary Andrew (Hobbsy) Hobbs on the left wearing night vision goggles, and 1107015 Pte Manvell David (Newts) Newton with the machine gun is on the right. They are serving with the Australian contingent to the Unified Task Force in Somalia (UNITAF).
