Somalia. 1993-03-29. A member of the 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), watches Somali women waiting to carry away bags of grain from a truck. Note the stick he is carrying to use for crowd control. The soldier is serving with the Australian contingent to the Unified Task Force in Somalia (UNITAF).
