Description
Somalia. 1993-03-26. A sniper from 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), preparing to go on an early morning field exercise. He is applying camouflage makeup to his face and ears. In the background are armoured personnel carriers (APCs) of B Squadron, 3/4 Cavalry Regiment. They are serving with the Australian contingent to the Unified Task Force in Somalia (UNITAF).
