Description
Somalia. 1993-03-26. A sniper from 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), on an early morning field exercise. He wears camouflage makeup on his face, long headgear made of hessian and cloth strips, and a piece of cloth over his face masking all but his eyes. This is part of what is known as a Yowi suit. He is serving with the Australian contingent to the Unified Task Force in Somalia (UNITAF).
