Description
Informal group portrait at No. 40 Hudson Operational Course RAF Silloth, Cumbria.
Caption on verso reads "Introducing Sgt. Barnardi crew in their working clothes. From left to right: Les Butler, Southport, Lancashire (married at 30); George Crisp, Townsville, Queensland (23 & the girls haven't caught him yet!); self (still single); Ron Dexter, Nottingham (married & 30 too). We all get along fine together. I know I'm the "shorty" of the crew as George is 6ft, and Les and Ron are in the 5'11 class. By the way, I am wearing the pullover which Billie kniited for me. ."
