Description
Sisophon, Cambodia, c. 1993-06. Australian soldiers serving with the Force Communications Unit (FCU) of the United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia (UNTAC) cooling off in the makeshift pool they had constructed at their signals base. The pool was made out of blue plastic and sandbags, and was roofed to shade it from the sun. A barbed wire fence in the background helps to protect the base from attack.
