Wolfsberg, Austria. This photograph was brought back to England from Stalag XVIIIa by 407513 Warrant Officer (WO) Rhys Roberts RAAF of Kadina, SA, on his repatriation from Germany. It shows a scene from "Lucky Break", an all-male show WO Roberts saw put on in Stalag XVIIIa. The sixth figure from the left is an Australian army man who played the part of a horse trainer in this comedy of the turf. The "feminine lead" is an English Army POW aged about 25. WO Roberts returned home after having his features restored by plastic surgery.
