Miscellaneous items relating to Ronald McKay
Miscellaneous items relating to the Second World War service of QX6802 Private Ronald McKay, 2/15 Australian Infantry Battalion. Ronald McKay was a prisoner of war of the Germans during the Second World War, and was interned at Stalag XVIII-A at Spittal an der Drau, Austria. During his time as a prisoner, Ronald collected card tricks, programs, and prisoner of war currency as souvenirs. It is possible that the card tricks were used at a carnival and race day held in the camp (photographs of this event can be seen in collection AWM2019.22.152). This collection also includes some of McKay's official documents.
