Collection of images related to NX10979 Gunner (Gnr) Peter Thomas Edgar Sachs, 2/15 Field Regiment. They cover a range of subjects including travel, camps, recreation and memorials. Some group portraits have captions and include: NX163744 Gunner (Gnr) Thomas Sachs and Bill Rogers.
A shop assistant prior to enlistment on 20 September 1939, Gnr Peter Sachs was allocated to the 2/15 Field Regiment and travelled to Malaya. He was taken as a prisoner of war in Malaya in 1942. He was one of three brothers who enlisted for the Second World War: NX9629 Lieutenant (Lt) John Fritz Sachs MM, NX163744 Gnr Thomas Sachs. These photographs are part of a wider collection of objects related to the service of the Sachs brothers during the Second World War.
