Europe. 1945-03-24. Portrait of 416858 Pilot Officer (later Flying Officer [FO]) E. Hurrell, RAAF, of Adelaide, SA, seems to have cemented his friendship with "Jacky" the pet jackdaw of No. 181 Squadron RAF. FO Hurrell was lost on operations over Germany on 27 April, 1945.
