Description

Hungarian adaptation of the Kalashnikov AKM assault rifle with a light grey polypropylene butt stock, a synthetic pistol grip and stamped steel foregrip. A second pistol grip is fitted to the steel fore stock. Receiver cover is plain un-corrugated. Gas vent holes on gas tube are not present. The weapon has a corrugated 30 round steel magazine. Rear sling attachment is on butt stock. Fore sling attachment point is on the fore stock band.

History / Summary

The Kalashnikov assault rifle design was manufactured in numerous Soviet bloc countries. This Hungarian example shows a number of mall design changes, made to increase operability and decrease weight. The weapon was captured in Somalia.
