Description

Orange Ring (naming convention for resupply route). Filmed by Captain Jason Otter, C Squadron, 5th Aviation Regiment (5 Avn Regt) from the cockpit of Australian Army CH-47D Chinook A15-106. Captain Otter later noted: "The aircraft were travelling between Kandahar Airfield (KAF) and Qalat Forward Arming and Refueling Point (QLT). Flying Pilot in view is Lieutenant Patrick Schadel. Flying at 50’ above heights obstacle (AHO). Lead Chinook is a US CH-47D with a US AH64 Apache the third aircraft providing overwatch. Australian CH-47D (A15-106) [is] designated Air Mission Commander (AMC)".
