AN225 Takeoff at Kandahar with CH47 Cat A in view
Description
An Antonov An-225 Mriya takes off from Kandahar airfield. At 00:13 sec a damaged US CH-47D Chinook can be seen in the foreground. The aircraft is being taken apart prior to disposal after sustaining Category A (highest level) damage in a heavy landing. At 00:21 sec an Australian serviceman can be heard yelling "Get up ya big bird!".
