Description

Mr Merv Lilley was a communist sympathiser prior to enlisting in the Armed Services. He was posted to the Home Defence force and was stationed in Torres Strait. He describes conditions there and also says that Australia changed during the war years, and with Menzies in 1949, capitalism started to grow.
