F16 50' takeoff.
Description
F16 [General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon] 50' takeoff. Footage captured by Captain Jason Otter, C Squadron, 5th Aviation Regiment (5 Avn Regt) on the Chinook flightline. Captain Otter later noted: "A US F16 takeoff roll down the main runway at Kandahar taken from our flight line (Chinook pitot tube in picture). The F16 maintains low altitude while accelerating prior to popping in a near vertical climb to minimise time in the threat area. Visibility is poor on this day, a Mil Mi-26 is seen at the end of the video (largest helicopter in the world)".
