Jed Shirley, a New Zealander attached to 17 Construction Squadron, Royal Australian Engineers (RAE), United Nations Transition Assistance Group (UNTAG), holding a Russian AK-47 rifle that he used in the rifle-shooting section of a "Mini-triathlon Competition". The competition was organised by the Polish UNTAG contingent and also included Finnish, Canadian and Kenyan teams. The competition board behind Shirley records the points for each event and shows 17 Construction Squadron as the overall winners. Shirley is wearing a blue United Nations (UN) cap.
