Portrait taken in the foyer of the RAF Officers' Club of the officer-in-charge, Flight Officer Judith Badgery, of Elizabeth Bay, NSW, who was in England at the outbreak of war and joined the WAAF. Visited daily by hundreds of English and Dominion officers on leave from their stations on the Continent, this popular club is situated in the heart of Brussels in the former Hotel Lambert. During the German occupation the building was used as a generals' mess.
