London, England. 1945-06-05. Flight Lieutenant Peter Kingsford Smith DFC (left), nephew of the late Sir Charles Kingsford Smith, with Pilot Officer John Anthony Ulm, son of the late Mr C. T. P. Ulm, another famous Australian flyer and Sir Charles' partner in many of his famous exploits. Both have returned from prisoner of war (POW) camps in Germany and are on leave prior to their return to Australia.
