Portrait of 4167 Private Vivian Moore
Description
Informal portrait of 4167 Private (Pte) Vivian Moore, 17th Australian Infantry Battalion. A mechanics labourer prior to enlisting on 10 August 1915, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Star of England (A15) on 8 March 1916. Pte Moore died of wounds while serving in France on 23 April 1917. He was only 28 years old.
