Copenhagen, Denmark. C. 1945-06. Wing Commander (Wg Cdr) R. W. Iredale DFC and Bar of Heidelberg, Vic (right), talks to a member of the Danish Resistance movement, while inspecting the wrecked Gestapo headquarters building. As Commanding Officer of No. 464 (Mosquito) Squadron RAAF, Wg Cdr Iredale took part in the attack on the Gestapo headquarters, one of the many precision bombing attacks undertaken by the Mosquito aircraft on the continent.
