Studio portrait 7077 Private Alfred James Joyce
Description
Studio portrait of 7077 Private (Pte) Alfred James Joyce, 18th Australian Infantry Battalion 2nd Reinforcements. A laborer prior to enlisting on 18 September 1917, he embarked from Sydney aboard the HMAT Ulysses (A38) on 19 December 1917. Pte Joyce was killed in action in Villers-Bretonneux on 8 August 1918. He was 20 years of age.
