Warrant Officer 2 Ian Kuring of the Army History Section sorting through a pile of Somali weapons that had been captured or confiscated by the 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), serving as part of the Unified Task Force (UNITAF) in Somalia. The weapons were manufactured in a wide variety of countries. Some of them were subsequently added to the collections of the Australian War Memorial. (Donor I. Kuring)
