Collection relating to the First World War service of 102 Lieutenant Colin Graham Forrest M.C., 57th Infantry Battalion, France, October 1917 - April 1918.
Wallet 1 of 1 - Collection containing three letters from Forrest to his mother written between 11 October 1917 and 25 April 1918. In these letters Forrest largely describes his activities while on active service including his role in coordinating the supply of ammunition, supervising training, serving on the front line and some perks of being attached to brigade headquarters. His last letter written on 25 April 1918 details his observations of the Battle of Villers-Bretonneux whilst still in the midst of the operation.
