London, England. 1941-11-23. 403520 Sergeant (later Flight Sergeant [Flt Sgt]) Jeff Linton of the RAAF calling his mother and father and three sisters at Raymond Terrace, NSW, on the "Anzacs Calling Home" programme from the BBC. Harold Stewart, himself a Queenslander, is encouraging Sergeant Linton to send one of his infectious chuckles over the air to Australia. Flt Sgt Linton was lost on operations over the Middle East on 09 December, 1942.
