Description
Collection relating to the service of Lieutenant Colonel William Parry-Okeden DSO. The collection consists of photocopied diaries describing active service in New Guinea, training in Australia, and a lecture tour of India. Comments on American forces, British officers, Australian command, and the high esteem he had for Australian troops. Includes detailed descriptions of several campaigns, and evidences the writer's feelings about numerous aspects of the war from a fighting commander's perspective.
