London, England. 1929. The cross erected on the battlefield to the memory of the Officers, Non-Commissioned Officer's and men of the 18th Battalion, AIF, who were killed in action at Pozieres, c.1916-08. The cross was obtained for the Australian War Memorial by the Imperial War Graves Commission. This photograph was taken before shipment to Australia.
