London, England. c.1929. The cross erected on the battlefield to the memory of the members of the 20th Battalion, AIF, who were killed in action at Pozieres, c.1916. The cross was obtained for the Australian War Memorial by the Imperial War Graves Commission. This photograph was taken before shipment to Australia.
