Portrait of 403528 Flying Officer (FO) Edward Lancelot Musgrave, RAAF, 137 Squadron RAF. He was awarded the DFC on 12 March 1943 after having taken part in a number of successful attacks on enemy communications in France and Belgium, as well as shipping in the English Channel. He is shown standing on the port side wing of his Westland Whirlwind 1 aircraft, which is armed with four 20 mm Hispano cannons. FO Musgrave was lost on operations with 137 Squadron near Gravelines France on 18 March 1943
